Dr. Robert Sons is an Associate Principal at Fannin Innovation Studio, a life sciences development firm in Houston, TX. Fannin in-licenses and invents new technologies in the life sciences, providing seed funding and management to drive early R&D into clinical proof of concept. There, Rob leads multiple preclinical development programs in addition to business development/in-licensing interactions with non-profit research institutions including federal laboratories. Prior to Fannin, Rob was a Technology Transfer Manager (Cancer Research Training Award Fellow) at the National Cancer Institute. Rob earned his PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
