Stephen is currently TEDCO’s Chief Program Operations Officer. In this role, he oversees the creation and management of several technology transfer, entrepreneurial support, and funding programs. Prior to TEDCO, Stephen served as the assistant vice president for research and director of the Office of Technology Development at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). During his tenure, he oversaw significant growth in OTD’s active license agreements, intellectual property portfolio, and licensing revenues. Before joining UMBC, Stephen was an assistant director in the Office of Technology Licensing at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and he worked for two small medical device companies. He began his career as a laboratory technician at Johns Hopkins University. Stephen graduated with a BS in Biology and Engineering Science from Loyola University in Maryland, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and an MS in Biotechnology from the Johns Hopkins University.
