Portland is an exciting city with many attractions, great restaurants, outdoor activities, concerts, events, and so much more. Here’s a short list to start planning your free time during the 2020 FLC National Meeting.
Reserve a table at one of downtown Portland’s hippest restaurants to savor house-made pasta and delicious prosciutto in a lively atmosphere.
Sit down at communal tables inside this James Beard Award-winning fine dining restaurant, which lives up to the hype with a six-course prix fixe menu of seasonal selections. It has previously included dishes like American Wagyu strip loin roast, chicken gorgonzola scarpinocc, and fresh scallops.
The atmosphere at this local favorite French restaurant may be unpretentious, but the fish, lamb, and king crab created by chef Gabriel Rucker are world-class.
This path-breaking farm-to-table restaurant from chef Ryan Fox serves artfully presented dishes from an ever-changing menu, which has included petrale sole, truffle, and leche de tigre. Pair natural, additive-free wines with adventurous entrees.
Internet is complimentary in all attendee guest rooms.
The StayFit Fitness center is accessible 24 hours a day and is complimentary to all registered hotel guests.
Travelers coming from qualified countries to the United States for tourism or business for 90 days or less may be eligible to visit without a visa. For more information visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html.
Attire for the FLC National Meeting is business casual. Because meeting room temperatures sometimes fluctuate, FLC recommends bringing a light sweater or jacket.
Your Health and Safety
As you know, COVID19 is a global issue. Your health and safety are top priorities for the FLC and the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center.
We suggest regularly visiting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s websites, which are updated daily with the latest information about the virus.
A summary of the latest guidance from CDC is published via the Health Alert Network. Due to the dynamic nature of this outbreak, individuals should frequently check the CDC 2019-nCoV website for additional updates.
According to the US Travel Association and the CDC, the risk remains low. As it is also flu season, we strongly encourage all National Meeting attendees to wash their hands throughout the day and use the hand sanitizing stations that the Hyatt Regency Portland has placed near all public restrooms and meeting spaces. If you find you are not feeling well, at home or on travel, we recommend that you consult the CDC website and act accordingly.
If you have questions regarding accommodations and travel, contact FLC headquarters via email at [email protected] or call +1-678-298-1183.
